Galvanized Steel Sectional Water Tank for South Africa
Product Details

Product Overview

1. Materials and processes

Substrate selection

The hot-dip galvanized water tank adopts high-quality Q235 steel plate as the substrate, and forms standard modules such as 1000 × 1000, 1000 × 500, 500 × 500 through stamping process, and reserves bolt holes around it.

Galvanizing process

The steel plate undergoes hot-dip galvanizing treatment, forming a dense zinc layer on the surface. The interface between zinc and the steel plate forms a stable bonding layer through ion diffusion, significantly improving the adhesion strength and corrosion resistance.

Assembly method

The standard modules are clamped with non-toxic silicone or rubber gaskets, bolted together for fixation, without the need for welding equipment, and can be installed flexibly without being limited by the progress of civil construction.

2. Product advantages

Corrosion resistance

The zinc layer effectively isolates direct contact between water, air, and steel plates, resists acid and alkali corrosion, and has a long service life.

Structural performance

Prefabricated steel plate structures have strong seismic resistance, high impact resistance, are not easily deformed, and possess lightweight and high-strength characteristics.

Health and Environmental Protection

The galvanized surface is smooth and easy to clean, with good sealing properties, avoiding the growth of algae and red worms, and eliminating secondary pollution.

Economic viability

Compared to other anti-corrosion processes such as enamel, hot-dip galvanizing has lower costs and easier maintenance.

3. Application scenarios

Construction field: Storage and regulation of domestic water and fire water.

Heating and Ventilation System: Expansion and Condensation Tanks Used for Heating Systems.

Temporary water storage for engineering: Temporary water supply facilities in construction, geological survey, industrial and defense engineering.

4. Precautions

The specifications and positions of the inlet/outlet pipes and overflow pipes need to be customized according to the design requirements.

Galvanized steel water tanks should be selected for high-temperature hot water scenarios to avoid the failure of other materials due to high temperatures.

Installation and Maintenance Guide for Hot Dip Galvanized Water Tanks

1. Installation points

Basic and spatial requirements

Before installation, the civil foundation construction must be completed to ensure that the foundation is flat and the bearing capacity meets the standard, with a horizontal error of ≤ 0.5cm.

A maintenance channel of ≥ 70cm should be reserved between the box and the wall, and a space of ≥ 50cm should be reserved at the top and bottom of the box for later maintenance.

Box fixing and connection

The surroundings and bottom plate of the water tank should be firmly in contact with the foundation to avoid hanging or tilting.

Use sealing materials (such as rubber gaskets) and fasteners at the connection of the plates to ensure a tight and leak free joint.

Installation of pipelines and valves

The inlet and outlet pipes, as well as the discharge pipes, need to be connected through flanges or flexible joints to avoid direct welding and damage to the galvanized layer.

After installation, the water outlet pipe needs to be closed, filled with water and observed for 24 hours to confirm that there is no leakage before it can be put into use.

2. Maintenance precautions

Regular inspection

Check the welding seams, sealing strips, and bolt fastening of the box every year, and promptly repair rusted or loose parts.

Focus on checking the sealing of pipeline interfaces and valves to prevent wear and leakage caused by long-term use.

Cleaning and rust prevention

Thoroughly clean the interior before first use to eliminate impurities; It is recommended to clean it every six months when storing water for a long time.

If the galvanized layer is locally worn, it is necessary to promptly apply anti rust paint to avoid exposure and oxidation of the metal substrate.

External protection

Avoid stacking heavy objects or conducting impact operations on the top of the water tank to prevent deformation of the box.

Stay away from corrosive chemicals or high-temperature heat sources to extend the lifespan of the galvanized layer.

3. Key tools and materials

Installation tools: level ruler, wrench, lifting equipment (requiring professional operation), sealant gun.

Consumables: rubber gaskets, anti rust paint, flange connectors.

Through standardized installation and regular maintenance, hot-dip galvanized water tanks can guarantee a service life of 15-20 years, suitable for scenarios such as fire protection and domestic water supply.
